Another 20th century marvel, Ram Jhula is an iron suspension bridge. The bridge spans 750 feet across river Ganga and connects the Sivananda Nagar area of Muni Ki Reti in Tehri Garhwal district to Swargashram in Pauri Garhwal district crossing the river from west to east. The area has many Hindu ashrams and religious centers established on either sides of the river. Famous spots around include Sivananda Ashram, Gita Bhawan, Parmarth Niketan and other temples located in Swargashram. The local market around the river banks is also a major tourist attraction.
